Lingro Website- Great for ELL learners and English as a Second Language

What:  Language Translation Website
Website/URL: Lingro - http://lingro.com/
Cost:  Free
Why:  For those that are learning English and need to associate native words to english

This is an easy site to use for language translation.  It offers many languages but still lacks a few (such as Arabic).  This is a great resource for those who want to associate native words to new words they are learning. Again, very user friendly!  I am hoping for a Google Extension soon!!!

Create a quick or comprehensive assessment in minutes!

What:  Quick/Easy site to Create/Give Quizzes
Website/URL: Quizizz - http://www.quizizz.com/
Cost:  Free
Why:  Great Site for quick assessment!

When I say quick , I mean literally it might take you 10 minutes to create a quiz, assign it and have the results as soon as the students have it completed.  Granted, all questions are multiple choice but what a great way to give a quick assessment.  This site seamlessly interfaces with Google Classroom.  Assign as a quiz or homework or print it off if the students don't have a device.  See the video above for a quick tutorial to get you going!

UPDATE:  5/31/2016- Now import questions from a csv!  Awesome!

Cappex- Seriously important site for high school students to look at - tons of links scholarships

What:  College & Scholarship Information
Website:  Cappex
Cost:  Free
Why:  Why not-  This offers a huge list of scholarships as well as complete information on College Searches and requirements.

So far I am fairly impressed with this site.  Even though I entered my 12 year old daughter's birth date in the system it would accept it - I am guessing you need to be in high school to actually sign up for an account. I created an account for myself and that I would graduate fairly soon.  It offers a comprehensive search on colleges and their requirements for getting into their college.  The thing I loved most about this site it that there is an abundant amount of information that links to numerous valid scholarships.  While I have 3 children that will be attending college during the same years (twins +1--everything times 3), we will need all the help we can get.  I am definitely bookmarking this to revisit when it is time.  Highly recommended for those with college aged students.

This a great site for graphing options for students with a teacher login that includes lessons that teachers can make their own.   Desmos also allows teachers to make a series of slides with interactive elements. On the flip slide when students create a graph, desmos offers feedback on alternative solutions for creating that graph.

Quiz Hub- Limited Free Quizzes for every subject

What: Interactive Quiz Website
Cost:  Free- Limited - School Site available
Why:  Great for Summer

This is a great site.  It is limited for the free portion with only a select amount of quizzes available.  I still think it is a great resource for summer learning.  You could have your own children use this site during the summer months to keep up on academics!
